WOLFE'S PHEASANT FARM...puts hunting and hospitality together for an experience worth coming back for year after year!
"This was a first time pheasant hunt for me, and it was a blast! And, hangin' out afterwards with the food, drinks, and stories, we haven't stopped talking about the trip. Thanks for a great time." Harvey - Fulton Concrete, Nov 2005
Hunt n' Lodge Farm is pleased to partner with the Wolfe's Pheasant Farm to include a pheasant hunt with our exclusive private group or corporate whitetail hunts.
The Wolfe's Pheasant Farm, owned and operated by Tom and Pam Wolfe, is located just a quarter mile from the lodge. Tom Wolfe was born and raised in Buffalo County, and his home and pheasant farm resides on the road formerly known as the Wolfe's Dugway, as his family farmed the area for many years.
Tom's passion for pheasant hunting led him to open Wolfe's Pheasant Farm in 1999. He carefully raises the pheasants from chicks in April to full maturity in October.
The pheasant hunts take place on 60 acres of prime habitat consistings of rolling fields and marshy creek beds. The hunt consists of a 50/50 Hen to Rooster mix.
Tom kennels three champion bloodline dogs to use during the hunt. Also included is the hunt is bird cleaning and packaging. Shotguns and Upland clothing are available to use if needed.
After the hunt, relax and enjoy some drinks and a snack buffet that may include Pam's homemade pheasant soup or venison chili, locally packaged summer sausage and cheese and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
The Wolfe's Pheasant Farm is also open to the public and they have no hunting club membership fee. Hunts take place on the weekend and only require a 10 bird minimum. To reserve birds, please contact the Wolfe's directly at 608-687-8519 or email wolfepak@riverland.org. But hurry! With the hospitality and reputation of the Wolfe's Pheasant Farm, the birds sell out fast.
