HUNTING LAND...fair chase hunting at it's best!

"The land is perfect big buck habitat. I let a 125" class opportunity go by, and I got lucky scoring a trophy 164" Pope and Young. It was worth the wait! This is truly the perfect place for a group hunt." TJ, 2006 group hunt, Pennsylvania.
The Hunt 'n Lodge Farm offers hunting opportunities on 1,000 acres of prime Buffalo County Quality Deer Managed land with superior genetics for trophy bucks. This is fair-chase hunting (no fences) at its best.
Great bucks have lived and bred on this land, including the famous Great Albino Buck and The Valley Legend. The Great Albino Buck roamed the land from 1980-1987. Illegal to hunt, this buck lived a prosperous life and was finally taken down by the Buffalo County Sheriff's department due to old age. This great buck is now displayed at the Monarch Tavern in Fountain City.
The Valley Legend eluded hunters from 1999-2005. During the off-season, this buck was sighted by many of the neighboring farmers and our trail cam took many nice shots of this buck. Come hunting season, however, this buck disappeared. In 2005, a neighbor was lucky enough to take this buck in the rut period. The buck scored 223" non typical on Pope and Young.
In April 2007, Hunt 'n Lodge Farm consulted Midwest Whitetail Management Services to maximize the wildlife on the property. Midwest Whitetail Management Services is owned by Stewart Hagen, a whitetail consultant and Realtor specializing in hunting properties, and operated by Ted Marum, a whitetail consultant and former owner and guide of Buffalo County Outfitters. After touring the property, Stewart and Ted declared the land to be a superior farm with enormous opportunity for trophy bucks. By excavating trails around the land, planting additional food plots and adding water holes, these opportunities would only increast.
In May 2007, two trails were excavated around the land, creating acccess to new areas not hunted for years. Two waterholes were added as well as four additional food plots. Trophy bucks will now be able to run freely through the land, allowing even more opportunities for Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett record whitetails.
